Vinyl tends to end up in the rooms with the most going on in them. Those are also the rooms with the most to cut around, which is where the fitting matters.

Pattern and fitting
A pattern only works if the cuts do
The bathroom at the top of this page is a geometric print, fitted round a shower tray and the sanitaryware. With a strong pattern there is nowhere to hide: the lines have to stay square to the room and meet the edges cleanly, and every cut has to be right first time.
