Carpet works beautifully in bedrooms and lounges, where comfort underfoot can completely change the feel of a room. Hallways, stairs and landings ask more of the fitting, with turns, edges and changes of level all needing careful attention.
We can carpet a single room or the whole house, and we can carry the same carpet from the stairs out across the landing if that is what you want.

Staircases put carpet fitting on full display. Every tread, every riser, every turn and every doorway needs to be finished carefully, and all of it remains at eye level afterwards.
Turns
On a winding staircase no two treads are the same shape. Each one is cut to its own and folded into the turn.
Treads and nosings
On a straight flight the eye goes to the front edge of every step, so the carpet has to sit tight over each nosing and stay tight.
Edges and doorways
Where the carpet reaches a doorway it is finished against the next floor with a bar, and cut to the frame on both sides.

Carrying a carpet from the stairs onto the landing
Taking the same carpet up the flight and out across the landing makes the upstairs read as one space rather than three. It also raises the standard of the fitting, because a pattern running across both has nowhere to hide.

Our showroom comes to you
Carpet is hard to choose under shop lighting. A colour that looks right on a rack can look like something else entirely in a north-facing bedroom, so we bring the samples to you and you compare them on the floor they are going on, in your own light, against your own walls and furniture.
While we are there we measure up properly and work out how the room needs to be set out. Then you get a clear price. The visit, the samples, the measuring and the quote are all free, and there is no obligation afterwards.
